Road Trip- Michigan 1/5
小管這次來美國玩三個禮拜。我們每天都過的超級充分。每個有玩到地方都不應該放著不講。所以我先把我們去 Michigan State (密西根州) road trip 的旅遊分享出來。

這次會選擇 road trip 的玩法的原因 是不想浪費四天假期 (我自己請的假)。原本預記是搭飛機到紐約或者加州，找幾點出來玩。後來考慮到成本問題，我們才把目的地改為鄰近的度假村。
圍繞 Illinois 州的, 北有 Wisconsin, 西邊有 Iowa 和 Missouri, 東邊有 Indiana 和 Kentucky. Michigan 是位於 Indiana 的上方（直接來看地圖比較快，紅點是我們去的地方）。
喜歡山山水水的我, 就沒有考慮都是農作物(刻板印象)的 Iowa 和 Missouri. 而選到 MI 當旅遊目標, 實在也是誤打誤撞的烏龍事件. 因為我把Michigan state 和 Indiana state 搞混了。=p
蒐集資料的過程，是每次旅遊最大的樂趣! 當然遊玩的享受也回味無窮!
在一點頭緒也沒有的情況下搜尋觀光景點, 實在不是一件討喜的事情。先是從州立官方網開始搜尋. 在琳瑯滿目的選擇下, 我脾氣就越來越壞 XD
不過也因為這樣, 我學到 “attraction” 這個字來找旅遊地. Things to do, Place to stay, Resturaunt to eat, 都是ㄧ些很好用的片語。另外找到 Trip advisor 的旅遊諮詢網。尋找觀光點就簡單許多. 其中深受旅客喜愛的幾個地方: Grand Rapids, Mackinac island, Traverse city 等都是我考慮去的城市。最後基於路程和時間的考量, 做了以下選擇：

8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (3.5 hrs drive)

06/26- Road trip- day 2: Mackinac City/Island
1) Grand Rapids- Mackinac Island
8:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. (4 hrs drive)
Ferry: $25 round-trip
bike rental- $1.00
2) Mackinac City- Straits of Mackinac
Hotel: Holiday Inn Express Mackinac City ($66 per person)
06/27- Road trip- day 3: West cost Beach Towns
1) Mackinac City- Leland Fish Town
8:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. (3 hrs drive)
2) Leland – Sleeping Bear Dunes- 1 hr drive
3) Sleeping Bear Dunes- Holland – 3 hrs drive
Hotel: Days Inn
06/28- Road trip- Day 4: Holland, Home
1) Holland – Indiana Premium Outlet
2) Indiana- Home- 3 hrs drive
